Questions.
Is there a subscription?
No. One payment of $24.99.
Are my messages uploaded anywhere?
No. Your messages are processed on your Mac and never uploaded, and exporting works offline. The only network use is the optional update check.
Why does it need Full Disk Access?
macOS protects your message history. The permission lets TextVault read your own history to export it.
Is the PDF admissible in court?
Admissibility depends on your jurisdiction and case. TextVault gives you a timestamped, page-numbered record of the messages on your Mac; your attorney decides how to use it.
Which conversations are supported?
Any conversation in the Messages history on your Mac, including iMessage and SMS threads, and the attachments that are downloaded to your Mac.
What's a Bates-style number?
A unique, sequential ID stamped on every page (e.g. TV-000142) so any page can be referenced exactly.
